Srijit Mukherji’s upcoming latest movie Dwitiyo Purush scheduled to be released on 23rd January 2020.

It seems Tollygunge has started investing a lot in thrillers of late. Tollygunge foresees a bright future in the same. Srijit Mukherji has quipped that he will come out with a spin off of Baishey Srabon . It has been named as Dwitiyo Purush. The tag line goes like this ‘Baishey Srabon er por… Dwitiyo Purush’ . As its a spin off you will watch some of the characters of the film Baishe Srabon, namely Parambrata Chatterjee and Raima Sen. Baishey Srabon which was released in 2011, which happened to be a big hit in thriller genre. It earned rave reviews. Both the class and the mass appreciated the film by Srijit.

Now after several requests Srijit Mukherjee and SVF will dish out Dwitiyo Purush movie. The announcement came on 22nd Srabon only. Baishe Srabon is the death anniversary of Kaviguru Rabindranath Tagore.

In this new film in addition to old characters, Srijit would introduce some new characters as well. Wherefore Parambrata Chatterjee will portray the role of detective Abhijit Pakrashi . Raima Sen will enact the role of Amrita. As Srijit quips in a lighter vein ” We last met Abhijit (Parambrata) and Amrita (Raima) long ago. We are making this movie to have look at how they are doing these days. ” Srijit assures that there will be more thrill per thrill in this spin off in comparison to Baishey Srabon.
