Anupam Roy – Autograph singer, lyricist . So who is Anupam Roy, as you might be asking. His songs have struck the right chords with audiences of all age groups. And of late he has become a name to reckon with in Bengali music arena.

By profession Anupam is an analog circuit design engineer ( reminds you of Farhan in 3 idiots ? ) in an MNC in Bangalore. Born & brought up in Kolkata, where he did his B.E. from Jadavpur University. He has been actively singing & writing songs in Bengali close to a decade. But his big break that made him and his songs reach you, came in the shape of a movie called Autograph. The rest as they say is history.
His Amake amar moto thakte dao is a chart buster. And Beche thakar gaan penned by him is another popular number that has made ripples. As he has now been flooded with several offers, there are some more in the offing.
He has proved his mettle as a lyricist. But as a singer he has a long way to go. Whether he can prove his versatility in coming days is something to be watched for. Music lovers will be more than happy if he makes his mark by churning out off beat numbers. Will he be able to stay there at the limelight or pass into oblivion as a one song wonder ? Only time will tell.
